The ASH4SOIL Task Force has published a new informational brief highlighting the involvement of one of its key partners: SELGA (Galician Foresters’ Association S.L.).
SELGA is a forestry services company founded in 2002 by the Galician Forestry Association (AFG), with the aim of supporting the sustainable management of Galicia’s forests through silvicultural work, forest engineering, and specialized technical services. Its work is closely linked to improving forest sustainability, enhancing the value of forest resources, and promoting more efficient and environmentally friendly management models.
As part of the ASH4SOIL initiative, SELGA is contributing its technical expertise and experience in forest management to advance a line of work focused on improving forest fertility by incorporating new byproducts as soil amendments. This strategy aims to boost the productivity of forest plantations while improving the overall nutritional status of the soil, thereby contributing to a more sustainable and circular management of forest resources.
With this short video, ASH4SOIL gives the public a glimpse into the collaborative work of its partners and highlights the role of innovation in improving soil health and the sustainability of forest systems.
